Developing tomorrow’s leaders today.
Creating accessible and FREE education for communities.
Horace Academy is an elementary school (K – 5) located in Paynesville, Liberia, West Africa and began operations in March 2023. The Academy currently has an enrollment of 38 students (ages 5 – 11). Our mission is to provide free quality education to underprivileged children in the community. We believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and break the cycle of poverty.
Horace Academy aims to create a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. In addition to education, we provide two free nutritious meals a day, Monday to Friday, to ensure that our students receive proper nutrition for their overall well-being.
Educational Materials and Resources
We provide age-appropriate educational materials which are essential for teaching children because they align with the cognitive, emotional, and social development of each age group.
Proper Nutrition to Support Learning
Our K-5 students receive free nutrition. Proper nutrition is crucial for elementary school children because it directly impacts their physical health, cognitive development, and overall well-being.
Support for Communities
Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
The Horace Academy is a change agent. We’re bettering communities by providing free education for K-5 students. We hope to serve many more children in need.
